我年輕的時候受約翰亞當斯的話感動，即吾輩學習政治和戰爭，使子輩有機會學習數學與哲學，使孫輩有權利學習繪畫，詩歌，與音樂。漸漸懂事以後，我悲觀地認為這句話是不可能實現的。人在成長過程中永遠有好戰好鬥的劣根性，如果沒有外加的嚴正教育，戰爭和暴力就會自發出現，用不可挽救的方式教訓人們。子輩如果只學數學與哲學，他們中的一些人就會無腦反抗數學與哲學，孫輩如果只學繪畫，詩歌，與音樂，他們中的一些人就會向那些東西宣戰。把所有事物戰光之後，他們就會自相殘殺。如果電子遊戲或VR科技還有點用的話，就應該用於讓孩子們親身體驗祖先們曾經遭到的苦難，體驗世上其它人的苦難，體驗他們後代將會遭遇到的苦難，使他們不用親歷戰爭就能學到教訓，將好戰的心轉為奮鬥的心，用於正途。
