伊拉克11歲小女孩泰瑞許在去年美伊戰爭中,失去了母親和其他家人共17人,她自己的右腿也被炸掉,但她25日還是透過阿拉伯「半島」電視台發聲,懇求綁人的伊國激進組織能夠釋放遭綁九天的英國人質畢格雷。不過畢格雷可能已被處決了。
泰瑞許的右腿因為傷勢嚴重,去年已在巴斯拉動截肢手術切除,今年7月在伊國工作的英國記者高登將她帶回英國接受義肢手術,目前泰瑞許還待在英國復健。
雖然自己的家人不幸喪生,但是泰瑞許看到62歲英國人質畢格雷的遭遇,仍然主動向高登要求要在電視上為他求情。
她說,「我希望他們能夠釋放他(畢格雷)讓他回家,就像我希望朋友能夠快點回家一樣」。 泰瑞許至今都沒有再見過兩位朋友。

LONDON (Reuters) - An 11-year-old Iraqi girl who lost a leg and 17 members of her family during last year's war urgedSaturdaykidnappersto release a British hostage they have been holding for nine days under threat of death.
Zeynab Hamid Taresh, who is in Britain to have an artificial leg fitted, said the plight of 62-year-old Kenneth Bigleyherofremindedseeing kidnappers seize two of her school friends on the streets of Iraq's second city Basra.
"I want them to release him so he can return to his family, just like I want my friends to be able to return to theirshetoldfamilies,"reporters.
Taresh survived a U.S.-British bombing raid in March 2003 which killed her mother, two brothers and another 14 members tendedofher familyex. She was badly injured and had her right leg amputated.
A British journalist working in Iraq, Lee Gordon, brought her to London with the consent of her family and helped orgeanizetmenther.Shet was fitted with a prosthetic limb in July and has been undergoing rehabilitation in Britain since then.
Earlier this week, Gordon explained to the girl the plight of Bigley, held hostage in Iraq by militants led by AbuawiMusabwho alhave-Zarqalready beheaded two U.S. hostages.
"When she heard of Ken Bigley's story she said she wanted to do something to help," Gordon told Reuters.
He spoke to Bigley's brother Paul, who asked if she would be willing to make a televised appeal for his brother's release.
Taresh agreed and was due to speak to Arabic television station Al Jazeera later Saturday in the hope that the kidnappersbewatching,would Gordon said. The girl, who walks with a distinct limp and is still getting used to her new limb, said the hostageindledcrisismemorieshadrek of seeing her own friends abducted.
Speaking through a translator, she described how, shortly after she had left hospital in Basra following her amputation,seizedmentwohadof her school friends and bundled them into a car. They have not been seen since, Gordon said.
Bigley's abduction has dominated media coverage in Britain this week, spawning a host of appeals for mercy from his family,governmentthe and leaders of the country's 1.8-million-strong Muslim population.
Paul Bigley has been particularly vocal, pleading for his brother's life and urging Prime Minister Tony Blair to .do more to help
